So I got to the edge of Brussels and had to pull out my map. Ya look at a map and a line (road) meets a dot (city) and comes out as another line. But entering a city you never know where that line is going to come out. Especially when the signs are in a language you don't understand.

So I'm pulling out my map and this guy says, in English, "are you lost?"

My first thought was, whatever, you're going to waste more time than actually be a help. But I suddenly decided to be interactive, and within a couple of minutes this gentleman was giving me a tour of Brussels. Turns out he was an avid cyclist, and a international banker, and this day was a national bankers holiday. So he gave me a tour, bought me a beer, and lead me to the edge of the city so I could make it to the Netherlands in one day.
