I wasn't kiddin' there was a frickin ski jump. Not many people, guess it is more of a winter place. So I went into town and found a nice restaurant on the shore of the Gauja River. A bit more upscale than I had been eating at thus far. Things were so cheap, and I was hungry, so I ordered a beer and two entreés. The waitress actually brought two sets of silverware, assuming I must be with someone. She was suprised that I was going to eat all that food. Just as I'm finishing up, six cycle tourists go whipping by, fully loaded, across the bridge. I surmised that they must be going to Sporta Båze Baili. Sure enough, when I got back to camp, these nutty German college students were doing pushups. They were doing about 60k a day and studying at night. Thankfully they spoke a fair amount of English, so I had some company for the night. I did bust camp before they woke. Rookies! |
