Not a lot to say about this tour, we just kept marching on, no rest for the wicked.

It was hot, it was always hot. We rode, and rode, and rode. I knew it was going to be brutal, I had agreed to a route that Hunter chose, and never really checked it out for myself. DOE! Then there's the fact that he's Rick the Stick, and he can ride strongly, all day long for days on end.

Day one We started off at Rick's Yurt, 3,000 feet up Mt. Madonna, just a couple of months before it BBBUUURRRRNNNNEEEDDD! We headed thrugh Salinas, south on 68, left on G20, left on G16, right on Tassajara Road, then Right on Arroyo Seca road, and into the hills, and dirt. We passed the campgroungs at The Lakes, and poached a spot down by the creek that Hunter seemed to know about.

Day Two Hard long dirt climbs, and no one in sight, we head south on Indians Road which turns into Milpital Road, and then it's all a blur. At the end of the day we camped, at a state park, I have no idea which one.

Day Three rode, and rode, and at the end of the day, we chose a fireroad, and bombed down to Hwy 1. We spun north on Hwy 1 for a couple of hours, and when it got dark we poached into the bushes, into the prickers, and slept on bones and a knife.

Day Four an all day march into a headwind. Rev erend d was crushed, and Hunter did all the towing. And what better way to end a tour; we ended the long day with a 3,000 ft climb up Mt. Madonna.
